Vitematta in Casal di Principe is preserving extraordinary Asprinio d’Aversa vines, some over 200 years old and reaching 15 metres high, trained on poplar trees in the ancient Alberata Aversana tradition.
The vineyards stand on land confiscated from organised crime and transformed into productive agriculture, employment and opportunities for the local community.
The story brings together living viticultural heritage, the genetic resilience of ancient vines and the social regeneration of a territory reclaiming its land and identity.
